Tres Ponts

Location: Spain – Catalonia – L’Alt Urgell – Tres Ponts


Overview:

Tres Ponts – the three bridges – Climbing area located directly over the river Segre. The high number of sideholds and underclings, making the climbing both, powerfull and technical demanding. The short approch as well as always a bit of wind together with northeastern orientation making Tres Ponts to perfect crack for warm days, especially when in other climbing areas it´s already too hot.


How to get there:

From Oliana drive C14 northwards in direction of Andorra/ La Seu d’Urgell. After Organyà turn right on LV-4001 in direction of Montan de Tost. Follow the street and park directly after the bridge.

Cross the bridge again and follow C14 a few meters in direction towards the tunnel. Cross the C14 carefully and follow the field road for a few meters. Take the path to the left that leads directly to the crack. (5min.)


Accommodation:

If You have a car/van/motorhome with sleep accommodation, You can directly stay at the parking place or in other nearby parking bays.

Otherwise there are nice holiday appartments to rent located at the village of Organyà, “Cal Rafelo”.

Small food stores in Organyà, many food stores in Oliana.

Water:
Coming from Oliana at the entrance of Organyà there is a spring with drinking water quality located behind the outdoor fitness equipment at the left side of the street.

Climbing equipment:
The nearest climbing shop is located in Andorra.

Guidebook:
You can buy the guidebook “Lleida Climbs” at the bar “Can Palau” in Oliana.


 Best season:

September till may; In winter-months it could be very cold due to north-eastern orientation. Mostly there’s a wind blowing, making Tres Ponts to perfect destination for warmer days.
